Past few weeks

It has been a busy few weeks. Not including work (which is always busy), Aaron and I have been going out and having fun quite a lot!

2 weekends ago, we went to Aaron’s mom and dad’s house! It is so fun. Their house is nice and mom has a nice garden and chickens! Fresh eggs every day.

She has 11 chickens total!

Dad has a super cool train set!

We also went shooting at the gun range. I like this size. Shot about 45 meters away targets.

Last weekend was relaxing, really did not do much.

This weekend was busy. Aaron is buying some new things for the new hobby, and today is EASTER! Happy Easter! We are going to Aaron’s uncle and aunt’s house in Orange (about 15 minutes away) for easter dinner. Aaron’s parents will be there too, they are in LA area for a day before they go on vacation to Mexico!

This week is a normal week. No plans at all, but work and next weekend a birthday party for my friend, Ines! Beach BBQ! My favorite.

Gun Range

Last Sun, we went shooting in the indoor gun range.  I felt very uncomfortable at the beginning.  After I tried it, it wasn’t that bad and it was quite fun.

This gun is a 9MM.

And this will be Aaron’s new gun, buying tomorrow.

When was the last time I post…

I can’t remember when did I write this blog last time.  Just a quick sum up…

Thanksgiving:  Aaron and I went to San Diego to visit his uncle and his parents were there also.  We celebrated Thanksgiving and my birthday there.  Aaron bought me a coach bag.  It looks quite nice.  I like it and I am using it everyday.  Unfortunately, I just found that there is a black mark on the bag.  I don’t know what happen…

Birthday:  Some ladies are nice  at work.  They gave me birthday card and flowers and got a free lunch and had a birthday cake at work.  Cool!  And I got a cooking book and ear rings from Andrea.  I was so excited so I called her right away and chit chat a bit because she had to work.

Christmas and New Year:  Spent time with friends and had dinner together.  Not much else.  Aaron was drunk in New Year.

I start learning driving finally.  However, I am learning manual which is quite difficult for me.  First two days I was driving in the parking lot for about 3 hours.  Then I started driving in a quiet street near Aaron’s office for 3 days during week days after work.  Then Aaron made me drive home from there.  I was quite nervous but made home safely.  After that, I didn’t drive anymore. haha… because I was sick. Taking medicine made me sleepy.  Now, I feel better so I guess I will practise again this weekend or next week.

Adv of driving: I can go anywhere and no need to have someone pick me up or drop me off.

Disadv: my insurance will be super expensive and gas and another car.  I didn’t have own house so difficult for parking space if we have another car.

For housing, keep looking still.  Nothing good come up so far.

Update

Didn’t write my blog for a while… I am lazy even Aaron updates his blog once every few days. Anyways, not much going on so far for me. I am busy at work and weekend just want to relax and did nothing.

I have tried to bake egg tart and it came out alright.  I think I almost got a right recipe.

Beer Party

Last night we had beer party at friends’ home. Everyone is required to bring 6 packs of beer that you would like to try it. Then, we would try the beer and rate it from 1-5. I only tried about 5 types of beer (not full bottle or can, just about 1/4 small cup :p) and quite drunk already.

Later on, the hostess (the lady stood behind me in the photo) prepared a beer quiz for us and a gift for the winner. Another girl and I got the same score, 10 correct out of 18. Then we both needed to answer the last question and I won. Here is my prize:

Korean BBQ

Two weeks ago we had Korean BBQ in K-Town (Korean Town) in LA with other friends. It was amazing. The restaurant was using charcoal to grill the meat, not like most of the restaurants using gas. It was very delicious. We knew it would be expensive but somehow a rich guy said he would pay for all of us. Got lucky! Free dinner and we only pay for tips.

Breakfast Strudel

I used the same pie crust for the breakfast strudel. I didn’t follow the recipe as much because it would use too many eggs (5-6). Instead, I used more vegetables.

Peach Pie

I baked a peach pie today. The crust is good but the pie is not sweet enough. Next time I will add more sugar but I will make fruit pie. I am not too crazy about peaches.

As it is not so sweet, I ate a quarter of the pie already. Aaron also thinks a bit more sugar is better.

Long weekend…

The past weekend was “All Star Bash” drifting event for Aaron. The tracks are at dessert which means super hot all the time. I guess it was about 35-40 degrees everyday.

We left home at Friday night but unluckily, my stomach hurt so much so much. I thought I had food poisoning from the breakfast made by one of the ladies at work. She made crissant egg and bacon sandwiches. It might be too greasy for my stomach. My stomach still hurts. :( . Anyways, Aaron camped out at the track with other friends on Friday night and I went to his friend’s home around there but I couldn’t sleep well at all because of pain. I slept at 3am and woke up at 6am.

A guy who also stayed there named Dave. He did the awesome tattoo for people so many people visited at the friends’ home and do the tattoo. I got the chance to see how he did it. There were 8 people in the afternoon so I had Aaron pick me up to the track as I knew that several friends were there already. I would like to say hi to them  and quite bored at the friend’s house as I didn’t know others at all.

Sat night, one of the friends taught me how to drive a car a bit. I was very excited and happy to learn a little bit. It was fun. I can’t wait till I can drive around by myself.

Sunday was a long….long day for us. Aaron shared the trailer with his friend to tow the car. Friday, they went to the track twice as they needed to drop off the car and then came back to pick up another car. It is about 2.5-3 hours drive from my place to there in one way. Sunday after the event, Aaron planned to leave his car at the track and picked up on Monday. However, when we were on the way home and already in LA area. His friend who organised this event told him that he couldn’t leave his car at the spot he parked at as it was new pavement. The track owner would be pissed off to see that on Monday. In order not to get his friend in trouble, we drove farther south to pick up his friend trailer immediately and then drove all the way back to pick up his car. It was 12midnight when we were at the track. Finally we went home around 3:30am…such a long day. Then I woke up at 7am to go to work.

Aaron is out to have dinner in LA with those drifters from Chicago tonight. I couldn’t join because I get off work late and I am so tired. I also got some work stuff to do at home.
